Sport has always been an important part of the Woodman buzz. With three wide-screen TVs that feature Sky Sports, we cover all major sporting events. Whether it’s football, rugby, cricket or golf, it’s on at the Woody!

And because the screens operate independently, if you don’t want to watch the main event just ask our bar staff to put on what you want to watch in the darts or pool room – that’s if Ken hasn’t lost the remote!

Drink, sport and food, there isn’t a better men’s crèche in the whole of Burnley!


The Clarets

With ample unrestricted street parking and just a short walk from Turf Moor, the home of Burnley FC, the Woodman is the perfect meeting point for friends and supporters to meet up, have a few drinks and perhaps a bite to eat before going to watch the Clarets win at home.

On home match days our special Clarets menu includes Haffner’s meat & potato pie with mushy peas and gravy for just £3.00 and a selection of hot dogs and burgers in addition to our usual menu. Just the thing to keep you going until the half-time pies!

And, in the unlikely event that the Clarets don’t win, where better to come and console yourself!

If you’re organising a group trip to an away match, our bar is licensed to open from 9.00am and we can provide a full English breakfast for as little as £4.00 per head before you set off. Call for details.

Golf

Welcome to the new 19th hole!

Already popular with the golfing fraternity, we are just a stones throw from Towneley golf course and an ideal stopping off point.

Why not visit our “golfer's snug” trophy room for a relaxing pint of traditional ale and a bar snack before or after a good walk spoiled!


Pool & Darts

We are proud to forward both pool and darts teams for several local leagues in and around the Burnley area.

With separate pool and darts rooms, each with a wide screen TV, you’re more than welcome to come and support our teams on match nights, there’s usually some supper or a few butties afterwards!
